Lost Footage Part 4

So, as you all can imagine, eating at our kitchen table is always a classy situation - china, crystal, the finest linens, etc. Oh, and from the soundtrack on this video, you'll really get a feel for what it's like to eat meals with the Schelly-Slavins.

Baby in a Basket

Mama, Papa and I were having fun doing the laundry the other day. It pays to be silly when you're doing chores around the house...makes them alot more bearable.

Lost Footage Part 3

First clip is at Mia's house. I think Mama, Papa and I went over to have dinner with her and her parents. She's not too interested in waving at Papa, but me, on the other hand...well, she's my girl, what more can I say?

2nd clip, is Super Bowl Sunday at our friends' Doug and Andrea's house. Words to the song:
Fire Company
Fire Company
Fire Company
Uncle Silly Mark's at the Fire Company
Woo woo woo
(and then I believe there's a "YAH" at the end)
Then Papa turned on the fancy "spot light" on his video camera...cool effect, huh?

3rd clip, Mama really wanted to take some photos of Mia and I for Valentine's Day gifts, but I just would not cooperate. Bongo and Jack were right there in their pen waiting for me to come up and poke them in the snouts...how could I sit still for a photo shoot?

Nah nah

So last week we had some days of dry, not so chilly weather, and in this video we're hanging out in the driveway between our house and our neighbor's house. I'm checking out the recycling bins, the neighbor's car, Mama's car, and some standing water that is always worth playing in.

"Nah nah" is currently the main word that I say these days. Loosely translated it means, "I want food/snacks", "I want a bottle", "I want what you're eating/drinking" or in this case we think it might just mean "Nah nah". Papa's following me with the camera, trying to get to the bottom of "the meaning of nah nah" and Mama is hovering around doing odd jobs and generally just admiring me.

Lost Footage Part 2

This lost footage contains some of the silliest interaction between Mama and myself. Papa was in the kitchen with the camera mostly just listening to us being ridiculous, as you too will soon see...and hear for yourselves. We were having a good time, but it's not completely clear who was being sillier, me or Mama. Papa certainly had a good laugh.
(Note: As this was back in September, check out how little hair I had and how much shorter I am next to the baby gate!)

Making a Cake

The other day at the coffee shop, Mama and I had some quiet time when it was just the two of us in the play room. I took advantage of having the kitchen to myself and made a cake. Mama documented it, of course. (Check out those curls at the back of my neck!)

Lost Footage Part 1

Papa recently found a bunch of movies that he took on his camera that we've never posted. This video is from a day we spent down at the Seattle Center back in December.

"Babysitting" with Papa

Last week, Mama, Papa, and I went over to Mia's house to babysit while her parents went out on a Valentine's Day date. Papa was feeling very relaxed and thought he might take a nap, so I thought I'd join him. Mama thought we looked quite funny, Papa napping and me with the tv remote in my hand. Look at that pouty face I've got!

After a while I started getting wiggly and decided to get down.

Mama even got some video of me dancing, which I actually do a lot, but not so Mama is ever able to catch with her camera!

Photos from a Friend

Our new friend Kelly took these fabulous photos of me at the coffee shop the other day. With me in the one picture is her 4 1/2 year old daughter, Zayden. Kelly also has a son, Costello, who is 2 weeks younger than me. We feel very fortunate to be meeting such wonderful families of friends right here in our own neighborhood!

Below are some pictures Mama took of Costello and me last week!

Teeth Update - 2 New Ones Discovered!

Last night while Mama and I were playing I opened my mouth wide for a big laugh and what should Mama discover but TWO NEW TEETH! Wow, what a surprise for Mama and Papa, they had no idea! The left one is all the way through and the right one is just peeking its head out.

We don't have any pictures or video yet (I don't make it very easy to take), but they are both on the bottom. Mama doesn't think they are the incisors (or what you would likely number as #5 & 6), these are one space beyond those on either side, #7 & 8. They could be the first molars, but Mama says she has to do her research because she's not a dentist!

Cool, huh?

Dizzy From Spinning

So the other day Mama turned around from doing the dishes in the kitchen to find me entertaining myself in the living room by spinning and spinning and spinning in circles. Mama was completely mesmerized and laughing so it took her a few minutes to think to get her camera. By the time she had the camera, I was so dizzy I could spin no more...I just wobbled and bobbled around.

Trampoline Time

The other day Mama & I went to visit our friends Jen, Viviana, and Oliver. When we got to their house they had this thing called a trampoline! It wasn't a big one, it was one that you can have right inside the house. Viviana & Ollie spent a lot of energy trying to show me how to jump on it and they were very entertaining to me. From the sound on the video, I was obviously very entertaining to Mama & Jen.

Happy Boy

Here's a quick little video of me having a snack and sporting a "new" hat that was passed on to me from friends. Just having fun and being happy.

Darn adorable, aren't I?

Can you stand it?

Tomato Talking

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!

Sorry we were unable to get out any "real" Valentines in the mail this year, but this video and photos should make up for it.

The video is a little longer than usual, and maybe not super exciting, but I do a bit of "talking" during the whole thing and watch carefully at the end for my comedic finale.

We love you all!

Slurp, slurp, slurping my tomato!

Hey Ma, what you lookin' at?

Oh go on Mama, let me touch the camera lens with my tomato hands!

Hmmmm, now to disect this last tomato...

Sometimes I Cry

It has been a very busy week out here in Seattle and Mama & I have not had a lot of time to make our posts to the blog. (Sorry to all our fans.) However, we have been taking pictures and videos and have things to share.

Though in most of the videos and pics you see of me, I'm very happy or silly, I'm a normal 1 year old and sometimes can be very emotional. Sometimes when I wake up from a nap I'll be very upset, even though Mama or Papa are right there to make me feel all right.

Mama took these pictures of me the other day. I was ok after a few minutes but it took me some time.

Mama gave me her wallet to appease me and it kind of worked...

...but it took a little while for my tears to clear.

Busy Little Buddies Pt 3

"When Traditional Toys Get Boring"

So here is the 3rd and final installment of Busy Little Buddies. After Mia and I played with most all of the toys in the living room (at least we got all of them out, even if we didn't play with all of them), then we headed into the kitchen. First we had a snack, then we found other fabulous things to entertain ourselves. Enjoy!

Busy Little Buddies Pt 2

One of the new toys I recently inherited is a toy drum that plays music and counts and does the ABCs when you hit it. Mia and I played with it together for awhile. Then, I started checking out how it worked, turning it over and investigating, so she went over and started "helping" Mama to take video.

For Uncle Silly Mark

Even though we don't watch football most of the season, today we HAD to watch because we love Uncle Silly Mark sooooo much and his team the Steelers were playing. We thought of him all day long, I dressed in gold and black, and we even made a sign for him. Congratulations Uncle Silly Mark, we so happy the Steelers won! (And we had a good time watching Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band too!)
