Tricycling in the Neighborhood

Sorry we've been "offline" for a few days, we had some software problems. We seem to be back in business again though.

Here is some video from one of the beautiful, warm days last week (it's been quite cold and rainy this week so far). We walked from our house the 2 1/2 blocks down the street towards the water (Lake Union) to Gas Works Park. You can see bits and pieces of the whole journey and Mama and "Pop" even make a few appearances. I'm the main attraction though. I bet I make you laugh out loud! Enjoy!

Pop took this shot of Mama...not too bad.

Then one of them took this picture of me pointing at some of the boats on the water.

Busy Boy on the Playground

On Wednesday Mama and I went to the playground just up the street from where we live. It was a very sunny day and pretty warm too. I got to wear my new sunglasses and they were really helpful. There were all sorts of kids at the playground with their moms and dads and even some with their grandparents. I had tons of fun! I did so many things - played with trucks and sand and shovels and water and diggers and...well...there's over 5 minutes of video so you can see for yourself. Mama also took some photos and they're after the video. Hope you like it!

This digger was "donated" to the playground and just lives there all the time. So any kid that wants to play with it can. I LOVE this digger! I spent alot of time with it when I go to the playground.

Mama thinks I look like such a big boy in this picture...what do you think?

I drug the digger all over the playground that day...it saw a lot of terrain besides just the sandbox.

Ohanami and Pi Day

Mama, Papa, and I were invited to an Ohanami event this past Sunday at the University of Washington (at the Cherry Blossom Quadrangle). None of us had heard of either of the "holidays" so it was extra interesting for all of us (Pi day just happened to be the same day and it involves eating pie, so we definitely were going to celebrate it). We had to look them up on the internet when we got home because it was really cool to see all the people out enjoying the day! Thought you all might be interested in learning about them too!

In Japan, sakura, or the cherry blossom, starts blooming in March in the south and the "blossom line" moves all the way north through April and May. People go out to view and appreciate the blossoms. This is called Ohanami.

Pi Day and Pi Approximation Day are two holidays held to celebrate the mathematical constant π (pi) (in the month/day format: 3/14); since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three decimal digits of π. March 14 is also the birthday of Albert Einstein and the two events are sometimes celebrated together. There is a large variety of ways of celebrating Pi Day and most of them include eating pie and discussing the relevance of π.[1] The first Pi Day celebration was held at the San Francisco Exploratorium in 1988, with staff and public marching around one of its circular spaces, then consuming fruit pies.

One Man Band - The Potty Blues

Mama says this video is not only fun to watch because of my obvious entertaining value, but because you get to see the wiseguy behind the entertainer and a little of bit of my 2-year old attitude. ENJOY!

Water Fun

Observe as I demonstrate my skills in the fine arts of the scoop & pour. Or as papa says,"Dump!"
Water is a really amazing substance if you ever get the chance to spend more than just a moment feeling it run over your hands or experience the weight of the water shifting from the bottom to opening of a container you "Dump!" on wheels on a bike or the reflectors of a bike.

Mama's Kitchen Helper

So here you can see me in a very common scene in our house...me helping to make dinner or breakfast or even bake. I'm helping Mama make a cucumber salad. It took a really long time, that's why I was helping her. Haha!

Happy Birthday to Mama!

OK, so you can tell after you watch this that I wasn't singing to Mama "officially", I was actually at my friend Harper Mae's 3rd birthday party. BUT, it was the first time I've ever worn a party hat and the first time I've pretty much sung the whole Birthday song...at least on film! And every time Mama watches it, it makes her get all silly weepy and stuff, so I thought for her birthday I'd post it on the blog. There are also some pretty fun photos of me from that same party last Saturday. Enjoy!

Hey, I like this birthday party thing!

Mr. International, eating his popcorn with chopsticks!

...And enjoying a lovely umbrella drink!

Hmmm, ice cream and cupcake...

...got to check this stuff out from every angle!

These are a Few of My Favorite Songs...

This one is dedicated to our friend Dan Landers, who penned the song "Bongo & Jack" while Mama & Papa were at the hospital welcoming me into the world. He took the song "Silver & Gold" and personalized it for our very charismatic dogs. Mama and Papa have been singing it to me ever since I was a tiny little baby. It is one of the most treasured gifts any of us has ever received..full of love for our sweet, silly puppies and us! Thank you Dan!

PS Happy Birthday is my 2nd favorite song and you can see that I'm doing a rocking version of it here...what you can't see is that I'm watching myself rock out in the glass of the oven door! Cool!

Names of the Day...Mama's in Heaven

Mama sometimes is just like a big kid and when I learned to say these names she got very excited...especially the dog's owner's name...can you guess who the names of the day are??? The only other word I learned that she got this excited over was "gravy"...that was a very proud day for her.

I did get a little mixed up at the end, but Bongo was a really good guess!
