Well, papa is all alone in seattle while me and mama are having fun on the beaches of north carolina (outer banks) with Opa and Grand Smokey. I told 'em he could post a video or two since I was not gonna be around for two weeks... this one is a preview to my friend Mia's birthday video that papa has been working on. Papa promised that I'm still the only star in the house. I also made him sign a waiver saying that all videos that he submits to KIERAN'S KINGDOM will be 9/10's or more about me! she's pretty cute though and I really don't need any competition as you can see how fragile I am in this clip.

Camping Pt 3 - Making Lemonade from Lemons
So, eventually all our friends showed up at the very wet campsite and after hours of the adults getting soaked trying to create tarped dry spaces for us kids (and themselves), it was finally time for dinner. The adults were exhausted, but us kids were raring to go. I mean, this was my first time camping and I was totally dry and warm and had been all day. There were all sorts of friends around to entertain me and make me laugh and then we got to eat OUTSIDE...at a PICNIC TABLE! Cool! I was having fun!

Camping Pt 2 - Respite from the Rain
So after Papa set up our little house and he & Mama were thoroughly damp and I was all antsy to get down and crawl around, we all piled in the car to look for a warm, dry, hopefully large open space for me to get my wiggles out. Alas, the best we could find was a pretty nice restaurant where Mama & Papa shared some hot soup and a grilled sandwich and I entertained myself thoroughly with a mini-magna doodle toy and a saltine cracker.
Warning: this video clip is anything BUT action-packed...but I look pretty darn adorable, so Mama thought you might enjoy it anyway.

Camping in the Pacific Northwest...in October
So this past Friday we went out to the Olympic Peninsula to go camping with a bunch of our friends in honor of our friend, Doug's, 40th birthday. Well, while we did end up having a wonderfully, fabulous time...it was quite a wet adventure.
Mama, Papa, and I got to the campsite early and Papa got our tent set up. When Papa had it all ready, I went inside to check out our little "house."
Here Papa and I are having a peaceful moment.

While the tent was pretty cool, I really liked the zippered flaps. I could just pull on the flap and the zipper would open up. Mama and Papa kept trying to keep me from doing this, must have had something to do with all the rain outside and them wanting to keep it outside.

Fun, fun, fun!

You really can't tell from this picture, but it was raining pretty steadily and Mama & Papa had gotten pretty soggy setting up camp and filming and stuff.

Hmmm, what happens when I push down on this...

Hee hee Papa and I are having so much fun!

Oh, and in case you thought we didn't take any video...here's a classic clip! This is after Mama got in the tent with us and we contemplated how we were going to entertain ourselves for the next several hours while we waited for the rest of the gang to show up!
There's more video and pictures from our camping adventure, but it's getting late and it's my bedtime and I'm grumping at Mama to take me upstairs to bed. She and I will have to post some more tomorrow! We love you all soooooo much!

October's Here!
Ghoul Ghoul Gaa Gaa!
A neighbor of ours gave us these fun Halloween pajamas the other day...unfortunately they are just a tad bit too short for my super tall baby body. That didn't prevent Mama from dressing me up just once for a photo shoot!
Papa tried to protect me, but alas, when it comes to photos, Mama always wins!

Here you can see, besides my adorable little face, that the pjs are just a tad bit short.

Here Papa also succumbs to Mama's camera.

Hamming it up for the public...oh, and there's Jack's snout there at the bottom of the picture.

I feel like dancing, dancing, dance the night away...

Just working the camera, baby!

Oh, and then, after Mama's game, we get to play my favorite game...chase Mama and her camera!

Ah ha! I caught her! And she's down for the count!

Tonga Ridge Hike
So, as autumn has officially arrived, here in the Pacific Northwest Mama tells me there is a scramble to soak in the last few rays of sunshine before the grey and drizzly winter sets in for a couple months. We are trying to get outside as much as possible.
On Sunday, we attempted to meet some friends of Papa's who had gone mushroom and berry picking and camped overnight in the Cascade Mountains. However, what Mama and Papa hadn't counted on, even though the hiking trail is quite "kid friendly," it's not necessarily "crawling baby friendly." After about an hour of hiking with me in the carrier on Papa's back, I was more than ready to get down and explore...but there wasn't really any where for me to crawl around and be safe. So Mama and Papa let me get down for a little to eat some food, have part of a bottle, even change my diaper...but I had had enough. So, an hour and a half into the hike with me crying and protesting like crazy, we had to turn around and head back toward the car without ever meeting up with Papa's friends who were located at least a 3 hours hike in. (Turns out that at about 3/4s of the way back to the car, Mama was TOTALLY ready to be done hiking too - she carried me on the return trip...she was trying to be a "good sport" and hike as far as Papa wanted to hike, but she finally said out loud that she was really glad I started grumping when I did...she was pooped out when we got to the car!)
The still shots are pretty awesome, the video's a little silly...but you get the idea!
Papa got a new video camera and here he is looking like a true Hollywood documentarist.
