Dinner a la fresca and my "ROBOT"

On that same day that I got back from vacation, it was such a beautiful day, Mama decided we would eat our dinner outside on the picnic table - hot dogs on the grill, peas, and potato leek soup - YUM!
I, of course, found  an engineering project that needed to be attended to while eating. I'd found some random pieces of hardware and used this wrench/pliers to make a robot.
Here I am starting to put the pieces together.
Again, this is very serious work. If you're going to build a robot, you need to do it just right.
Hmmmm....taking a closer look.
There we go. It's coming together now.
Hey Mama, look at my robot!
I'm such a happy boy!

Dump truck, dirt and diggers

That first day back from my vacation, I had a lot of things to do. After I checked out and worked on my bike, I discovered a newly made dirt pile and rediscovered my dump truck and the garden tools and got immediately to playing.

Kieran's New Wheels!!!

When I got back from my trip to Texas with Papa, I had big surprise waiting for me. A new bike!!!! Mama told me she was so excited when she saw this bike at the thrift store and she missed me so much, she couldn't help but get it for me and couldn't WAIT to see me and give it to me. Boy! Did she ever miss me! And this bike is COOL!
We had to adjust the seat down quite a bit and then I just needed to check it out.
I got the wrench and started working on it way before I ever even got on it and rode it!
Lots of stuff needs to be worked on on a bike.
Yeah, even the training wheels had things that needed attention.
You have to do it just right.

Trains, Trees, Fishing and FUN!!!!!

Back at the end of May, Mama and I got to go to Aunt Lolly's (our friend Laura) family gathering at their little beach house on the Sound. It was so fun! All 5 of Lolly's nephews and her niece were there. I fished with her brothers. I climbed trees, ran around like crazy and even got to climb the fence and hang with the other boys every time a train went by!!!! SO COOOOOOL!
I was really liking this fishing thing. Mama showed me how to hold the rod and then she told me I was a "natural"!
Here we are waiting for a train to go by.
As snug as a bug in a rug.
This was one of the first trees I ever climbed...possibly THE first. I was nervous at the beginning, but the other boys looked so comfortable going up and down, I knew I could do it.
I really wanted to get up that tree and check this bird house out.
 Very cool.
Some running around, tree climbing, eating all sorts of yummy goodies and then...back to work.
I'm very serious about my fishing.
Didn't catch any fish, but Mama and I spent the most awesome day together. Wow! Look at that sunset!
Here we are all packed up and ready to go home. But first we had to wait for the train to go by. I'm the one with the backpack on.
5,4,3,2,1.....zzzzzzzzzzzzz!
