This one is dedicated to our friend Dan Landers, who penned the song "Bongo & Jack" while Mama & Papa were at the hospital welcoming me into the world. He took the song "Silver & Gold" and personalized it for our very charismatic dogs. Mama and Papa have been singing it to me ever since I was a tiny little baby. It is one of the most treasured gifts any of us has ever received..full of love for our sweet, silly puppies and us! Thank you Dan!
PS Happy Birthday is my 2nd favorite song and you can see that I'm doing a rocking version of it here...what you can't see is that I'm watching myself rock out in the glass of the oven door! Cool!

Are you kidding me, Jess!?! I HATE dogs, you know that, especially those twin mongrels. I wrote that song with a sense of loathing and mock-admiration -- it's an anti-ballad. Don't let them two mutts think any different about it.
